Hello Predictable Revenue community,
Book update, we’ve finalized the cover, screenshot at the bottom of this email 🙂
This week I’m doing something very different.
Instead of spending a few hours writing, I spent that same time creating something for you all. A list of investors and PE firms with details like cheque size, investment stage, lead preference, and vertical focus.
I’ve heard a few people mention wanting to do something similar but hesitating because they didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on OpenAI credits classifying all 19,536 Venture Capital and Private Equity companies listed on LinkedIn. So, I took care of it for you.
If this was helpful and you want to say thanks you can forward this email to a founder you know or you can pre-order my book, it’s coming out October 28th.
- Collin
PS - if you’re curious, I used Clay & and an Account Classifier that runs on 4.1-mini. Here’s the template if you want to play with it. If you do, make sure you add your OpenAI API key first otherwise you’ll eat up all your Clay credits very quickly.
PPS - if you want to get really fancy, I added a column called “Are We a Fit?” at the end of the Clay sheet, add a description of your startup and what you’re looking for in Section 2 of the prompt, and click run to let the LLM choose your next investors. Once you’re here, you’ll need people’s email addresses. Filter the sheet on “Good Fits” and click Actions —> Find People at These Companies. Add “investor” to the job title, hit search, and then use the “Find Work Email” waterfall enrichment to find all their emails.
