Hello {{First name|Predictable Revenue community}},

Just a quick one today…

Last month I started building a thing called heyFriday.

The idea was that I didn’t want to update my CRM spreadsheet anymore and I figured I could stitch together a few integrations (email, calendar, and fireflies) that could solve it for me. It started out as a quick tool for myself and, somehow between Claude Code sessions, grew into something I was thinking others might want to use.

There are good AI CRMs out there that I probably should just use. But, I don’t want to use a piece of software for this, I want the software to do the work for me and update the tool I already use.

Once I realized I was building this for more than just myself, I started reaching out to friends in the GTM space for some light feedback/customer development.

Enough people were solving the problem with CoWork already that I decided to stop working on it. Or at least this version of it. Part of me still wants to solve the problem.

But I figured, if these folks are solving it in CoWork, porting the logic I’ve built out into Skills should be easy right? Right?

I budgeted two hours for writing the skills yesterday and figured I’d share them instead of the usual newsletter. Well six hours (and a whole day) later and I’m still running into blockers. So I’m shipping the, “this doesn’t work yet but I’ll keep working on it” version.

Here’s the link on Github. It literally doesn’t currently work. My current blocker is that the default Google Sheets connector in CoWork can’t write to sheets, it seems it can only read. If you have feedback, ideas, or have solved this problem with a skill already, I’d love to hear from you.

Have a good weekend,

Collin

PS - ever find yourself building internal tools that scope creep out of control too? I’d love to hear your stories of internal projects that kept on growing.
